How does the suit alteration process work?

You can visit our atelier in Souk Al Kabeer, Bur Dubai for a one-on-one pin fitting, or send us photos of you wearing the suit on WhatsApp. Our master tailor will examine the collar stance, shoulder pitch, torso suppression, and trouser drape, and provide a tailored recommendation.

Can you alter a suit jacket with working (surgeon's) cuff buttonholes?

Yes. If a jacket has genuine working buttonholes, shortening the sleeve from the cuff would cut into the buttonholes and ruin the proportions. Our master tailors detach the sleeve from the shoulder head (crown), recut the upper sleeve to the exact length needed, and re-sew it into the armhole with hand-pressed sleeve heads.

Can a suit that is 1 or 2 sizes too big be tailored down?

Yes, a suit can typically be reduced safely by up to two full sizes. We can slim the torso, suppress the jacket waist, narrow the shoulder width, taper the sleeves, and recut the trouser legs. If a garment is more than two sizes too large, the chest pockets and button stance may become misaligned.
